2025 Victoria Future Games Trials
Our staff got a good first look at Dewey, a 2027 graduate out of the Victoria Eagles program. Standing 6-foot, 180-pounds, the youngster showcased well on both sides of the ball. Offensively he's loose in the box with a tall stance, getting his hands into a strong position before whipping his bat through the zone on a consistent plane. He caught good barrel, reaching a peak exit velocity of 91.2 mph and carry distance of 323 feet. On the mound his athleticism plays up, and while his fastball command was sporadic, he lived 81-83 with 16 inches of horizontal movement. Dewey flipped in a curveball at 71-73 mph and a changeup at 75-76 mph while showing feel for a cutter at 74-76 mph. We'll be sure to monitor Dewey as his tools continue to develop with maturity.
