ACG Tryout - Big uppercut and even bigger intent in his swing. Barrett hit a moonshot off the shed in right center field during batting practice. With an accurate arm touching 92 from the OF, Barrett offensive production will lock him into a corner OF spot.

Physical: 6-0, 165-pound athletic build with room to add weight.
Offensively: LH. EV max – 95.8 mph, hand speed max – 23.6 mph, bat speed max – 73.2 mph; Slightly open sturdy stance with the bat elevated at his head. Straight-at-the-pitcher stride with a two-hand follow through. Shoots line drives to all fields.
Defensively: OF – 93 mph, Barrett was second at the event with his throwing velocity, light on his feet, and moves around on the ball to generate optimal momentum with a clean over-the-top release angle that sets him up for on-target throws. Barrett has good spatial awareness and is where he needs to be on each play.

Bay Area World Series 2022 - UC Santa Barbara commit; Lean athletic body on average size frame, one of most physically talented (all-around) players in 2024 class in Northern CA, ran 6.98 60-yd, max of throw of 92 mph (top at event), not only is arm strong but he gets rid of it well and he's accurate, good outfielder with balltracking skills, 96.6 max EV, 45% hard hit % (balls over 90 mph), 45% sweet spot %, 45% line drives, went 2-for-5 in game action, the more consistent he can be with contact the better his offensive profile will be, does have some pop but getting to his speed more frequently would be a good thing, on mound flashes quality HS stuff, FB max 84 mph (81-83), 2182 max spin, 20.1 IVB avg, low 4.6 release height sync's well with the IVB though the spin generally would need to be better to pitch effectively up in zone, CB 68-70 mph, 2145 max spin, big CB comes out of same release height as FB, mixed in one CHG at 74 mph, lowered release height quite a bit on the CHG.

Physical: 5-11, 160-pounds; Lean, athletic build. 7.18 runner in the 60.
Offensively: LHH. Even setup, with feet wide spread; bat positioned at a 45 degree angle. Loads straight back with a moderate leg kick for timing. Slides weight forward pre-contact. while showing an average effort from the legs. Showed a sweeping swing path with two handed finish. More line drives than fly balls and ground balls with a peak exit velocity of 93 MPH via Trackman. Fluid actions during the swing, swings with intent and ability to spray ball around with authority, strong barrel awareness with fast hands.
Defensively: Starts with an upright /tall setup; uses prep hop while being aggressive. Hands are off to the side with a seamless transfer. Long arm swing from a high/over the top arm slot. OF - 91 MPH. Aggressively charges, confident defender, big arm with carry and around the bag, potentially a plus defender with capability to impact game with his arm.

Pitching: Uses a glove side setup while using a side step. Mid chest leg drive with a slight lean over the belt. Has a long stride while landing closed. Long arm swing while stabbing downward; high 3/4 slot. Spins off 1B side with finish. FB: Peak velo of 84 MPH, while sitting 83-84 MPH; life through the zone. CB: 64-69 MPH; lands for strikes. CH: 66-69 MPH; fading action. Lively arm, energetic delivery with athleticism, aggressive attacker, flashes potential for three above average pitches as he moves forward.

Body: 5-11, 160-pounds. Athletic, streamlined with lean strength throughout.
Hit: LHH. Wide feet, set-up off the plate, tall, even feet, deeper load creating significant separation from lower half, knee lift out to aggressive stride. Consistent to out front connection point, fairly flat to ball with slight upward attack angle through contact, has loft power ability on pull side and ability to slash with power to the opposite field.
Power: 96.3 max exit velocity, 87.9 EV avg, 349' max estimated distance, 37.5 hard hit %, 62.5 sweet spot %, 50% line drives, 22.9 max hand speed, 74.1 max bat speed, 69.8 avg bat speed.
Arm: RH. OF - 88 mph. Long loose arm, overhand slot, throws track on-line, powerful release with low trajectory.
Defense: Creates direct angles, decisive approach to the ball, athletic gather and release with full arm frequently on display.
Run: 7.39 runner in the 60.

Positional Profile: RHP
Delivery: Small turn at the rubber, high agile lift near chest high, sinks into backside before kicking out to long slight cross body stride, lands with slightly fanned foot, sinks into plant leg as arm comes through, varies delivery tempos.
Arm Action: RH. Keeps hands tight to body before separation, long backside with depth, smooth clean and loose, effortless arm action, 3/4 slot, full finish with tension releasing deceleration, arm action projects significant future velocity gains.
FB: T83, 79-82 mph. No fear of the zone with FB, plays well up in the zone given the 5.3 avg release height, modest peak spin of 2139 (2018 avg), extension (6.2 avg) and release height do project ability to pitch effectively up in the zone, fairly straight with 6.5 HM avg.
CB: 65-67 mph. Sweeping break, showed feel and ability to manipulate spin at release while keeping feel (2315 max spin, 2146 avg), extension creates depth on this pitch (5.7 avg) with strong feel for the zone.
CH: 68-69 mph. Bigger horizontal movement (7.7 avg) off FB look which makes it quite playable vs LHH, low spin (1329 avg) creates downward movement in the zone, outstanding extension (6.4) though lowers slot further off the FB look.
