6-foot-3, 185 pounds with a strong, athletic frame.  The prototypical senior SS who also plays QB on the football team, is committed to San Diego State.  Although he has a nice athletic frame, he still has room to add to his physical strength.  He has a cannon throwing from deep in the hole, and displayed it a handful of times today.  What impresses me with Brody is his glove to hand transfer and quick release of the baseball. He flashed very soft and quick hands in a smooth double play up the middle.  His footwork is clean and takes good angles toward ground balls. He struggled from the plate today, but he has a nice swing, keeping his hands tight to his body with nice extension at contact.  Is a hustle player, Does not jog anywhere on the field today. He is an exciting player to watch.


Other comments:  Pure short stop. He has great range and makes the great play seem routine at times.  At the plate Brody is a right-handed swinger who utilizes all parts of the field.  When the time comes though, he can hit one out just as easy as single up the middle.
