6-foot-3, 175 pounds. Wiry frame. Fast pace. Loose arm. Bad luck start only giving up 2 hits himself. 2 runs were unearned. Has good down angle with fastball with good extension to the plate. Fastball was 82-83 mph. First time we have seen Carey, came away impressed. Curveball had sharp 11/5 break at 72 mph. Competes on the mound. Bad luck starts this year. 1-3 on the season, but has a 2.44 ERA in 28 IP with 28 K's.
