Committed to Garden City CC. Mitchell led the Eagles showing a balanced approach at the plate with the ability to keep his hands inside pitches on the inner half of the plate in order to finish the day with three hits, a hard single to left, a laser single up the middle to centerfield and then finish the day with a two rbi double to left field. His plate discipline allowed him to be patient and to wait for the pitches that he could handle and showed the ability to not miss when he got a pitch that he could handle.

Ranked No. 103 in Colorado's 2019 class. A 5-foot-11, 150-pound right hand hitting RHP/OF.  At the plate he hits from a balanced stance with a slow load on the pitch.  Good lower leg drive on the swing.  Hands come through the zone and create good whip. Had a very good day at the plate today going 4 for 6 for Cherry Creek's 18U fall squad.

A 5-foot-11, 150-pound right hand hitting RHP/OF.  At the plate he hits from a balanced stance with a slow load on the pitch.  Good lower leg drive on the swing.  Hands come through the zone and create good whip.  Exit velocity was 82 MPH. On the mound he stands tall and gets balanced.  Strong lower leg drive to the plate and stays in-line on his delivery. Fastball was 80 MPH with command down in the zone.  He added a 67 MPH Curve with sweeping break and finished with a 72 MPH Change with late down movement.
