Uncommitted. Currently ranked No. 51 in Colorado's 2018 rankings. 5-foot-10, 165 pounds. Regis Jesuit meets PBR Colorado's No. 1 ranked 5A team Pine Creek this Saturday. Boyd does an excellent job utilizing a 3-pitch mix to keep hitters off balance. Creates deception with delivery coming from a 3/4 arm angle. Changes timing in balance point. At times will pause, at times he doesn't. Will mix in working quick, and slowing down pace. Fastball sits 83 to 84.  On curve elbow drops a little but it's still and effective pitch with late depth at 68-69 mph with 11/5 shape. Change is a plus pitch thrown at same arm speed as fastball. Boyd as a varsity starter the last two years is 9 and 1. In the game we saw, Boyd pitched a complete game striking out 11 batters only giving up 3 hits. Boyd went 6-1 on the season. In 43  innings pitched has struck out 58 batters, only walking 9.
