Low

2021 Chatfield right-hander Quinton Low (Santa Clara) is one of the top MLB Draft prospect in the state. Low has lean, long levers and sat 91-93 for five innings. He gave up an oppo home run early to Rock Canyon but still impressed with his stuff. Low is athletic, has an uptempo delivery and high leg lift with repeatable delivery. Slider ranges 75-77.  Used off speed well in all counts. Lowe continues to show high ceiling in his development.

6-foot-4, 185-pound athletic corner who moves well and ran a 4.38 home to first. Offensively, it's a balanced and open setup, getting his hands back with a leg-kick timing trigger. Aggressive swing with long, uphill bat path and gap-to-gap approach. 87 mph exit velocity. Defensively, Low has a strong arm across the diamond. Long arm action with a high ¾ slot and accurate throws with carry, topping at 80 mph. Steady hands with clean transfers and plays through the baseball at times. Short side step to sturdy balance point, tall and fall style, works in-line with finish towards first base, short stride, squared to home with toe landing closed. Short arm swing, high ¾ slo and some rhythm throughout. Fastball has arm side run and lives down in the zone at 83-84 mph. Curveball has 11/5 shape and flashed depth at 66-69 mph. Changeup played with arm speed, 67-69 mph.

6-foot, 160-pound left-handed hitting corner infielder who ran an 8.50 60 time. At the plate, he hits from a balanced, narrow stance with a slow load and high leg-kick on the pitch. Good lower-leg drive on the swing. Hands come through the zone on an uphill path. Exit velocity was 82 mph. In the field he showed good athletic actions and instincts. He has soft hands and a good glove to hand transfer. Arm velocity was 78 mph from a high ¾ arm slot. On the mound, he's balanced and falls to the plate.  He will benefit from a strong lower leg drive. Fast ball topped at 78 mph with good location to both sides of the plate. He added a 61 mph curveball with sweeping break and a 65 mph change to finish his session.
