6-foot, 165-pound right-handed pitcher and infielder. Positionally,. Threw 74 mph across the infield with minimal effort to the throwing. Needs to develop prep steps to the ball and through the ball. Second base only at this point. Ran a 4.39 down the line on his dig as he can move. At the plate, tee exit velocity of 84 mph. Hits out of an even set up , high back elbow. The hands work free, but the path is long to contact. Needs to shorten down his path to the ball. Did have 2 hits in the game, so the barrel gets there. Like him on the mound, the fastball touched 84 mph with arm side run to it. The breaking ball was good, sat at 71 mph with plus depth. The changeup is a work in progress, touching 70 mph. Pitches out of a plus ¾ slot with a clean arm swing. The direction of his feet are good, the tracking of his front shoulder can improve. Pulls glove across the hitters face. Showed the ability to throw strikes and pitch with a good spin pitch.
Tee Exit Velocity- 84 mph
INF Velocity- 74 mph
At 5-foot-11,140-pounds, the frame is this thin and has lots of room to put added weight on, the body has a chance to be athletic and strong. On the mound, the delivery is effortless, the leg kick is high. The arm action is clean, with a little longer path. The front side is strong, direction could be a little better, steps to arm side. The fastball was 76-77 and threw it for strikes to both sides of the plate. The curveball was 62-64 with good spin and dropped in for strikes as well. In the field threw 70 across the diamond, needs to continue to keep his feet moving towards his target. At the plate, hits from the right side, the stance is balanced with an open to even stance. The path to the ball is good, level through the zone, with a solid finish. The tee exit velocity was 80 and ran 4.66 from home to first. Andrew swung the bat well in the game. Interesting kid, with such clean arm action, someone to follow, needs strength.
