6-foot-3, 195-pound right-handed pitcher. Pitches out of a plus ¾ arm slot with a clean arm swing and hand speed. The tracking of the front shoulder can be directed more appropriately to foot strike as he comes off target prior to getting his stride foot down. The feet are online, and arm swing is short on the backside. Comes at the hitter aggressively and showed the ability to throw strikes. The fastball sat at 79 mph with arm side run and action to it. The spin pitch is slurvy, sat at 65 mph as the pitch needs additional hand speed added to it. Like the projection of this arm and should come out next spring and sit in the mid 80’s.

11/2/16

6-foot-3, 180-pound, large, long athletic frame, shoulder are sloped back is wide, neck is long, is proportioned well, has room to fill out even more. A right-handed sinker slider pitcher. The delivery is repeated, it has easy effort to it. The hands start low, move up just so slightly with the leg raise. The gather, is slightly hunched together, which in return gets the swing to be out away from his body, creates sink and ride to fastball. The arm action has average length, it's clean and works. The fastball was clocked at 73-76 mph, with much more in there. The glove side is strong throughout, finishes arm swing across, could get more extension on release. The breaking ball was 59-61 mph, had 1/7 break and tilt to it, needs to be thrown harder. The changeup was clocked at 68-71 mph, showed to have proper rotation and fade to it. Times to the plate are very good, at 1.12, works fast and attacked the catcher. As he gets stronger look for the velocity to take a jump, someone to follow.
