Ben Crawford: C/1B, (2024) Fairfield Ludlowe, CT. Dickinson College Commit, 6-foot-2, 210-pound mature strong frame. Above average at the plate, Crawford was ranked 1st with an exit velocity of 97 mph. (78.5 mph bat speed average). (22.9 mph hand speed average). Started in an athletic balanced stance with a tight compact load, then used a short controlled stride. Bat speed is explosive, displays a short simple swing plane and high finish. Produced tons of loud contact and found multiple barrels. Pull side up the middle approach. Behind the plate, he produced a position velocity of 78 mph during throw downs; showed a twitchy transfer, soft next level hands, and athletic quick feet. displayed his ability to control the run game with a pop time of 1.82-1.98. Above average flexibility and athletic flexible setup. Had a high ¾ slot and a short arm action with consistent accuracy to the base. Showed really well, still recovering from a small hamstring pull.
