5-foot-7, 160-pound, smaller, athletic frame. The shoulders are squared off, has room to add strength. A right-handed pitcher, delivery is controlled and simple, gets balanced with the weight loaded on the back side. The arm action is clean and short on the backside and works out of a natural ¾ slot, with action to arm side. Pounds the fastball down in the zone to both sides, ground ball machine. The breaking pitch is his top pitch, its hard and late, clocked as high as 74 mph,had a ton of swing and misses and throws it in any count, is relentless with it. Times to the plate are quick at 1.25 and work quick between pitches. A big time sleeper, someone is going to get a good one.
6/5/18
5-foot-8, 170-pound right-hander, showed extremely well at the event. The arm is quick and short on the backside. The delivery is quick in pace and online with the plate. The slot is slightly above ¾ and he is in attack mode. The lift is athletic, coils the body as he makes his way into foot strike. The glove side is under control and he showed the ability to command the ball. The fastball touched 83 mph, arm side run to it at times. The spin pitches are advanced and will allow him to be a Division 1 arm. The slider is small, tight with good depth, sat at 75-78 mph. The breaking ball is big in shape, sat 72 -73 mph. The changeup is still a work in progress but dependent on how a college uses him, the fastball and spin may be enough for him out of a bullpen.
