Colby Ruggerio: SS/2B, (2025) Seymour, CT. 5-foot-8, 145-pound athletic slim build. Athletic and projectable in the box, the right-handed hitter clocked an exit velocity of 85 mph. (63.71 mph bat speed average). (19.96 mph hand speed average). Starts in a balanced open stance with a small load, then uses a closed stride. Bat speed is quick developing, shows an uphill loose swing plane and high finish. Was able to create loud contact and found some barrels. Gap to gap approach. Athletic and projectable in the infield, his best throw was registered at 76 mph; showed a clean natural exchange, soft developing hands, and athletic developing feet. Laterally, movements were developing and fielded the ball out front. Used a high ¾ slot and a loose arm action while showing consistent accuracy to the bag. In the 60-yard dash, recorded a time of 7.13.

Hit: (RHH) Athletic and projectable. Began in a balanced open stance with a small load, then used a closed stride. Quick developing bat speed. High finish, uphill loose swing. Gap to gap approach. 

Power: 85 mph exit velocity, average 74.63 mph. 63.71 mph bat speed average. 19.96 mph hand speed average.

Defense:  (IF) Soft developing hands, athletic developing footwork, clean natural exchange. Athletic and projectable.  Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were developing. 

Arm: 76 mph infield velocity. Loose arm action, high ¾ slot, consistent accuracy. 

Speed: 7.13 (60-yard).

Colby Ruggerio: SS/2B, (2025) out of Seymour, CT. is a 5-foot-8, 145-pound infield prospect. In the box, Ruggerio recorded an exit velocity of 81 MPH, with a (63.56 MPH bat speed average) and (21.23 MPH hand speed average). Ruggerio hits out of a balanced, open stance with a controlled stride. The swing showed good bat speed, an uphill path and utilized a gap to gap approach. In the infield, his best throw was 77 MPH, while showing athletic, smooth feet, a clean exchange, and soft hands. He also recorded a 60 time of 7.0 at the event.

5-foot-7, 135-pound athletic frame. Athletic at the plate, the right-handed hitter recorded an exit velocity of 80 mph. Started in an open stance with a high load, then used a long stride. Bat speed is electric, displays an upward swing plane and high finish. In the round he found multiple barrels with a lot of loud contact. Up the middle approach. Advanced while in the infield, registered his best throw across the diamond at 73 mph; had athletic footwork, a quick exchange, and twitchy hands.Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Used a ¾ slot and a short arm action while showing consistent accuracy to the bag. Love the strength and feel for a 2025.

5-foot-6, 125-pound, strong, athletic frame for his age. Longer neck, rounded shoulders, shows to have some twitchiness to him. A right-handed hitting middle infielder. The top tool is ability to swing the bat, strong hands, using he entire body. An open to even setup, higher back elbow, gains ground and stays closed, staying through the baseball. The swing is level to up, creating backspin, middle to pull side approach. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 69 mph, with a ton more in there as he continues to strengthen. An average runner at 4.63 down the line. Defensively, shows a big arm across the diamond, clocked at 73 mph. The hands are soft out front with flow through the baseball. Look for him to stick up the middle, will need to continue to refine mechanics, is trending in the positive direction.

Arm Velocity: 73 mph

A right-handed hitting middle infielder, balanced approach in the box, swing is short and quick, with a middle to pull approach. Soft clean hands defensively, with an above average arm.
