8/23/18

6-foot, 155-pound, long, and lengthy athletic frame. The shoulders are sloped, has room for added weight and mass. A right-handed hitting catcher, top tool is his arm, clocked at 79 mph, its quick and strong. The pop time was 1.97-2.12, throws are down hill and on the bag. The arm action is super short and quick on the backside, works out of an over the top slot. The footwork is accurate and quick, gaining ground during the transfer. The hands were soft on the catch, gets around the baseball, and anticipated dirt balls. Offensively, stance is even at shoulder width. The hands are held slightly higher, back elbow extended out. For timing uses a bigger leg kick, weight stays on the back side. The swing is level through the zone, spraying the baseball from gap to gap. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 83 mph and ran a 7.62 sixty -yard dash on a slow track. Really likes his craft of catching, works hard behind the plate, solid catch and throw guy, should be able to handle the bat.

Sixty-Yard Dash: 7.62

Exit Velocity: 83 MPH

Arm Velocity: 79 MPH

5-foot-11, 145-pound, long, lengthy athletic frame, has plenty of room to fill out, can add weight and mass on. A right-handed hitting catcher, top tool is his arm, it's electric, baseball comes out of his hand with ease. The arm action is short and clean works out of a high ¾ slot, throws from his ear. The feet and hands work well together, transfer is clean, gets glove to throwing hand quickly. The setup behind the plate is athletic, slightly side saddled, low to the ground, hands are soft, receives well. The pop time was 1.93-2.12 and arm was clocked at 75 mph. Offensively, balanced, simple approach, feet are even, slightly wider than shoulder width. The hands are held just above the shoulders, back elbow extended outward. The swing is short to the baseball, flat through the zone and has length after, with a two-handed finish. Showed to have above average power for his age, driving the baseball into the pull gap. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 83 mph, took a solid round of batting practice. Good follow, defensively is advanced.

Home-First: 4. 81

Exit Velocity: 83 MPH

Arm Velocity: 75 MPH

5-foot-11, 145-pound, long, thin athletic frame, neck is long, shoulders are square, has plenty of room to fill out. Defensively, was one of the better catchers at this workout. The arm is his best tool, it’s short, clean and quick, has much more in there. Clocked at 74 mph, pop times of 2.0-2.10, throws were downhill on the bag. The feet and hands work well together, transfer is clean and feet are inline and gain ground towards second on throws. Offensively, hits from the right side, the stance is slightly open, hands held at shoulder height, with back elbow extended out. The path is flat through the zone, hands work and has a high loose finish. The tee exit velocity was 80 mph, and ran a 4.65. Good looking young athletic catcher, high follow for me.
