Began in a balanced quiet stance with a compact load, then used a quick stride. Had efficient bat speed, simple upward swing plane and high finish. Behind the plate, his best position velocity throwing to second was registered at 76 mph; has a natural transfer, firm hands, and consistent feet. displayed his ability to control the run game with a pop time of 1.97-2.05. Some flexibility and quiet setup. Had a quick arm action with a high ¾ slot. Performed well in the 60-yard dash, clocking a speedy time of 6.91.
5-foot-8, 170-pound solid frame. Athletic at the plate, Hersh's best exit velocity was 89 mph. Starts in an open stance with a smooth load,then uses a short stride. Bat speed was above average, displayed a flat swing plane and good extension on his finish. Produced loud contact and found multiple barrels. Pull side approach. Movements laterally were athletic. Behind the plate, his best throw downs of the day reached a max velocity of 72 mph; has quick feet, a twitchy exchange, and firm hands.He produced a pop time of 2.04-2.07. Athletic setup with above average flexibility. Showed a high ¾ slot and a short arm action with consistent accuracy to the bag. In the 60-yard dash,recorded a time of 7.16.
