Ethan Righter: SS/RHP, (2023) St. Luke's, CT. 5-foot-10, 175-pound athletic frame. Solid during batting practice, the right-handed hitter clocked an exit velocity of 87 mph. (70.39 mph bat speed average). (21.46 mph hand speed average). Began in a wide stance with a smooth load, then used a small leg kick stride. Has developing bat speed, rotational uphill swing plane and good extension on his finish. Produced loud contact and found some barrels. Gap to gap approach. Athletic while in the infield, made throws at velocities up to 83 mph; has athletic feet, soft hands, and a clean exchange. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. Showed consistent accuracy to the bag with a high ¾ slot and a quick arm action. Clocked a time of 7.24 in the 60-yard dash. Above average on the mound, showing above average arm speed he had a high ¾ arm angle with a quick arm action. Up-tempo type pitcher who uses some effort. Showed in line shoulder with a consistent balance point. Lands closed with an athletic finish. Threw his fastball 79-81 mph; had a heavy fastball that showed running action and control around the zone. (Max spin 2050; Avg 2025). Shows fading action and arm side control on his changeup.
