At the plate, wider setup with pre pitch movement of the hands. The swing is strong and flat through the zone, looking to spray it to all fields, with a one handed finish. Showed to have enough juice to get the ball deep into the alleys. Had a tee exit velocity of 85 mph and ran an easy 4.44 down the line. 5-foot-9, 160 pounds, strong, thick durable catchers frame. The hands and wrists have above average strength to them. A right-handed catcher, catching and receiving skills are above average for his age. The setup is low to the ground flexible, feet are even and are quick in the transfer. The feet gain ground towards second, are in line, gets glove hand to throwing hand, right across his chest. The pop times were at 2.15-2.18 and the arm was clocked at 73 mph from the chute. Throws were on or close to the bag. His hands are soft when receiving, gets behind the ball well and softens the dirt ball. Offensively, the feet are even, wider than shoulder width, hands are set lower below shoulder. For timing uses a longer toe tap, gains ground with the stride. The swing is level to up, finishes with one hand, keeps the hands inside the baseball well, barrel stays in the hitting zone. The approach is more line drive, middle of the field. Made solid contact in both rounds of batting practice. Solid follow, get out and see him.
