8/15/22

Cape Cod: XL frame at 6-foot-6, 253 pounds and worked at 87-89 from an over-the-top slot. His fastball showed some bore and his best pitch was a 79-80 mph changeup with good deception and wiggle, but his 77 mph breaking ball was below-average in our brief look.

6/20/17

6-foot-6, 225-pound, large, wide, long athletic frame. The back is wide, is well proportioned, has room to fill out and add strength. A left-handed pitcher, who threw a ton of strikes pounded the zone with three pitches, pitched extremely well at this event. The arm action has average length to it, works out of a ¾ slot. The front side, wants to pull off at times, could be a bit stronger and inline longer. The fastball was clocked at 79-81 mph, threw it well to the glove side pitched in the right-handed hitters well. The breaking ball has made major progress, clocked at 70 mph, showed an 11/5 break to it, threw for strikes and showed the ability to locate on the back foot of righties. The changeup is a work in progress still. As he continues to refine the delivery look for the velocity to continue to climb has more in the tank, good looking prospect.

3/6/17
6-foot-6, 225-pound, wide, large athletic frame. The back and shoulders are wide, arms are long, has room to fill out and add weight. A left-handed pitcher, who has some projection to him. In the delivery, the hands start low, work up with his leg raise, stride has some length to it, is inline with target. The backside could stay stronger, pitches downhill, will make the angle that much tougher to hit from. The front side has minimal pull to it. The arm works out of a high ¾ slot, has average length to it, with a little wrap of the hand, fastball clocked at 79-81 mph, pounds it to the glove side well. The slider is his best pitch, clocked at 69-72 mph, it's late, consistently drops it on the backfoot of the right-handed hitter, not easy to do. The change up, uses a split, it's inconsistent, arm action should allow him to get comfortable with a true circle change. Times to the plate were at 1.50, the tempo of delivery could be quicker, might help get the arm moving faster. Shows to have projection, high follow, see him early this spring.
