Started in a balanced quiet stance with a compact load, then used a controlled stride. Bat speed was efficient, had a level swing plane and balanced finish. Solid in the outfield, his best throw of the day was clocked at 68 mph; showed choppy feet, sure hands, and a natural exchange. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Used a loose arm action with a high ¾ slot. (Max spin ; Avg ).
Jake Coppola: OF/OF, (2027) Fairfield Warde, CT. 5-foot-3, 112-pound athletic slim build. Solid in the box, the right-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 73 mph. (56.1 mph bat speed average). (18.5 mph hand speed average). Begins in a balanced athletic stance with a tight compact load, then uses a short stride. Bat speed was average, showed a simple flat swing plane and good extension on his finish. He found some barrels with some loud contact. Line drive up the middle approach. Projectable from the outfield, he made throws to the infield at velocities up to 70 mph; has a clean exchange, soft hands, and athletic quick feet. Fielded the ball out front to the side with quick movement laterally. Showed a high ¾ slot and a loose arm action with consistent accuracy to the bag. In the 60-yard dash, recorded a time of 7.78. Projectable on the mound, had a loose arm action and a ¾ arm angle with good arm speed. Stretch only feel type pitcher who shows easy effort. Showed strong balance point with in line shoulders. Lands soft with an athletic finish. Threw his fastball 63-65 mph; shows arm side control and sinking action. (Max spin 1908; Avg 1743). His 1/7 curveball (53-57) had slurvey action and glove side control. (Max spin 1719; Avg 1277).
