3/06/19

5-foot-10, 180-pound, strong durable athletic frame. Put together well, already filling out, strength throughout. A left-handed pitcher, who really attacks the catcher, looks to be super aggressive. The delivery is more hybrid, comes set with a small rocker strep. The hands start and stay high, coil and wrap to leg lift, hides the baseball extremely well. The arm action is short, clean and quick working out of a ¾ to higher slot, pitching down hill. The fastball reached 83 mph, locating it to the glove side. The spin pitch is advanced, it’s hard, late, tilt to it, with the ability to throw it for strikes, clocked as high as 73 mph.. Looks to be relentless with it. Showed the ability to throw changeup for strikes at 76-78 mph, could have more separation off fastball. With the breaking ball showing some velocity, solid chance the fastball has more in the tank. One of my favorite guys, big follow for me.

3/11/18

5-foot-9, 160-pound, strong, athletic frame. The shoulders are rounded, is put together well for only being a 2020. A left-handed hitter, had an event top 88 mph tee exit velocity, making hard solid contact during batting practice. The stance is balanced throughout, feet are even at shoulder width, hands are loose at the letters, bat starts in a tilted position. For timing uses a smooth higher leg kick, helps create power and juice to the swing, keeps the weight back, transfers it on time to the front. The swing is level across the chest stays and gets through it, driving the baseball to all fields with authority. The approach is a little more to the pull side. Defensively, arm was clocked at 77 mph, works out of a ¾ slot, it's clean and short on the back side. The transfer is correct, fields out front, footwork goes behind, could step through to gain ground. Off the mound, this left-handed pitcher threw three pitches for strikes, fastball reached 79 mph with action down in the zone. The delivery is compact, gets to a good gather, coil to his leg raise, gets inline down the mound to the plate. The finish has some recoil to it, could stay through it longer, might get more out of the fastball. The breaking ball is more of a small slider/cutter, clocked at 70-73 mph, has late break good depth to it. The change up was clocked at 71-72 mph, showed real good feel for it, big time pitch to it. Worked quick between pitches, times to the plate were at 1.50. Good looking player, time will tell which way he go.

Tee Exit Velocity: 88 MPH
Arm Velocity: 77 MPH
