5-foot-8, 225-pound, thick, wide, athletic frame. The hands and wrists have above average strength to them. A right-handed hitter, simple setup, even feet at shoulder width, loaded tilted hands. The lower half is very quiet and under control, minimal pickup and put down with stride foot. The swing is level to up, more pull side power, baseball jumps off the bat. Took a solid round of batting practice, had an exit velocity of 94 mph. Defensively, moves well for a larger player, hands are soft out front. The arm was clocked at 71 mph, needs to continue to move feet after throw. Off the mound, working out of a controlled hybrid start. The leg raise is easy and smooth, gets loaded on the backside. The arm action is loose and clean, working from a 3/4 slot. Controls his body well, pounds the zone. The fastball was clocked at 78 mph. The breaking ball has true break to it, clocked at 70 mph. Projects for me, more as a hitter, a move to 1st base could be in the makings down the road.
