Power / Speed Score
A simple calculation that divides the athlete’s Exit Velocity Max by the athlete’s 60 Yard Dash time for the given event year. For example, 98 MPH / 7.00s = 14.00.
5-foot-9, 145-pound, thin, twitchy athlete, average frame, with room for added strength. A right-handed hitting outfielder, the top tool are the legs, can really move, clocked at 6.72 in the sixty-yard dash. Moves extremely well in outfield, jumps and routs are advanced, moves well in both directions. The arm action works from a higher slot, its clean and works with easy effort. The arm was clocked at 76 mph, with more in there with added strength. The feet are clean on the transfer, gains ground. Offensively, more of an open to even set and stance. The swing is down to level, its short and crisp to contact. The approach is from gap to gap shooting line drives to all fields. The tee exit was clocked at 89 mph, has some bat speed. Can handle the bat, contact guy and short game is a weapon. Will be good for someone.
Tee Exit Velocity: 89 mph Arm Velocity: 79 mph Sixty Yard-Dash: 6.72

5-foot-8, 140-pound, lean, wiry strong athletic frame. A fast twitch athlete, good legs to him, with room for advancement. A two-way player, probably projects out more as an outfielder, but can help behind the dish as well. At the plate, hits from the right side, stance is taller, shorter, front foot is open. The hands are loose at the shoulders, lower half is under control and gains ground with stride foot. The swing is flat through the zone, looks to spray the baseball from field to field, more line drives. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 84 mph with more in there as he adds strength. Ran a 7.50 sixty-yard dash on a slow track. Defensively, arm was clocked at 78 mph from the outfield, throws from a high ¾ slot. Routes and jumps are advanced, covers a good amount of ground. Behind the plate, arm was clocked at 73 mph and had a pop time of 2.07-2.12. The feet are quick in transfer, the hands could soften on the catch. Looks to be valuable, can play both positions with the outfield being the top option.
5-foot-9, 135-pound, solid, athletic frame. A fast twitch athlete, runs well and has pop in his hands. A right-handed hitter, stance is balanced, shorter, slightly open, hands are relaxed at the shoulders, bat starting in more of a flat position. The lower half is under control, uses a small toe tap for timing, gains ground with stride foot, steps in slightly, causing some cutoff. The swing is level to up, looks to stay in the middle of the field, approach is more line drive. The tee exit velocity was at 84 mph, barrel has life out front. The legs are above average, got down the line is 4.37, feet are extremely quick. Defensively, routes and angles are advanced in the outfield, gets great reads and jumps, can go track it in the alleys. The arm was clocked at 74 mph, its clean, smaller arm path on the backside. The stride is short could length, will help getting out front more on the release. Behind the plate had a pop time of 2.16 and arm was clocked at 70 mph from the chute. The feet gain ground during the transfer, super athletic back there, needs to soften hands a tick on the catch. An athlete, projects as an outfielder, with ability to help behind the plate.
5-foot-5, 120-pound, thin, wiry strong athletic frame. The shoulders are sloped, has plenty of room for future development. His athletic ability is his best tool, ran a 7.6 yard dash, moves very well in the outfield and is light on his feet behind the dish, look for the sixty time to continue to drop. At the plate, hits from the right side, has a shorter taller stance, front foot starts open. The hands are set just above the back shoulder, bat starts in a flat position. For time has a controlled leg, gains ground with lead leg and gets it down on time. The backside lower half could be used slightly more. The swing is level to up, approach is middle to pull side, both rounds of BP, struck the baseball well. The tee exit velocity was 72 mph, with a ton more left in his swing. Defensively, worked out all over the field, catching is his primary position. The feet are quick, right foot replaces left foot during transfer, arm action is short and works out of a natural ¾ slot. The arm was clocked at 62 mph from the chute, pop times were 2.18-2.35, could close down the front side a bit more. From the outfield, fielded ball off proper foot and stepped through hard, could attack the baseball quicker. The arm was clocked at 67 mph. From the infield, shows soft hands with easy feet, could field ball out front more and get lower to the ball. The arm was clocked at 57 mph across the diamond. Plays all over the field, projects for me as more of an outfielder, look for all parts of his game to climb as he gets stronger.
