8/12/20

5-foot-11, 195-pound right-handed pitcher. He threw the ball well at the event, cruising through his innings of work. He showed a good presence about him and he commanded the baseball throughout. The fastball sat 78-79 mph with arm side run. The spin pitch is 67-69 mph and solid in shape. He showed the ability to drop it in for strikes. The changeup was 72-73 mph with solid action to it. The delivery was online and the slot is above 3/4. The lift is solid in tempo and repeated. The glove has a small amount of pull to it as he makes his way into foot strike. He pounded the strike zone.

1/13/18

5-foot-8, 150-pound, average athletic size for his age. The body and movements work freely. A right-handed pitcher, who plays third base as well. Off the mound, the delivery is simple, hands work from the bottom to top, work insync with his easy athletic leg raise. The arm action is clean on the backside works out of a ¾ slot. The frontside and direction is inline, stride has proper length to it, gets squared up on the finish.  The fastball was clocked at 68-71 mph, was located down in zone. The two seamer had action to the arm side. Only secondary offering was a changeup, clocked at 64-67 mph. The change up showed good action to it, was sold well with good arm speed. Defensively, had good prep steps, fielded the baseball off the left foot, and kept momentum moving throughout. The arm was clocked at 66 mph. The double play starts were performed correctly. From the outfield, arm was clocked at 69 mph, could gain ground more, looks to step behind and gets off target. At the plate, hits from the right side, stance is more closed with the hands starting at shoulder height. The swing is flat through the zone, more of a pull approach could be more direct with the path and stride foot. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 68 mph. Overall strength and conditioning will aid in his development. Will be fun to watch as he progresses off the mound.

Tee exit velocity: 68
Arm velocity: INF-66 mph, OF-69 mph
Sixty-Yard dash: 8.90
