Starts in a balanced athletic stance with a compact load, then uses a small leg kick. Bat speed was efficient, had a simple short swing plane and high finish. Solid his best position velocity in the outfield was registered at 84 mph; shows consistent feet, a natural exchange, and sure hands. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Had a high ¾ slot with a consistent arm action. In the 60-yard dash, his time was 7.18. On the mound, showed a high ¾ arm angle and a compact arm action with consistent arm speed. In his round, Ding showed loose hands and the ability to use the whole field. In the outfield, he was up to 80 mph on his throws, while showing he has sure hands, consistent, smooth footwork, and a clean exchange. During the event, he also ran the 60-yard dash in 7.88. Off the mound, works from the right-side, working from the set position. The arm is quick on the backside, could get more from lower half. Smooth in the outfield, his throws to the bases were maxed out at 78 mph; had soft hands, a quick exchange, and aggressive footwork. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. Showed a high ¾ slot and a loose short arm action with consistent accuracy to the bag. Recorded a time of 7.23 in the 60-yard dash. Solid on the mound, used a short loose arm action and a high ¾ arm angle while showing quick arm speed. Stretch only tall-and-fall type pitcher who shows easy effort. Displays even shoulders and a strong balance point. Lands square with an athletic finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 77-78 mph; has arm side control and sinking action. (Max spin 1795; Avg 1689). Throws a 1/7 curveball (65-66) that shows slurvey tight action and glove side control. (Max spin 1432; Avg 1365).

Showed more of a sweeping slider at 68/69 mph. Mixed is a fade side changeup at 68 mph. Looks to be confident, works quick and attacks the catcher.
