Carney a 6-foot 175-pound LHP, strong build. Carney throws from a low-¾ slot, with heavy sink to the arm side. Fastball was 79-80, its probably a bit better, has thrown a good amount of innings. Carney pitched to contact, is able to throw the fastball to both sides of the plate.  Curveball has some sweeping action to it, was thrown at 63-66. The changeup showed good depth, velocity was 70-72. Does a great job of changing the eye level of the hitters. I wouldn't be surprised if he turned into a late inning matchup guy at some point. His feel for pitching, ability to control the running game and toughness are things you can't teach. Definite follow for me, everyone needs a lefty who can get people out.
