5-foot-10, 180-pound frame, athletic, strong frame, developed lower half, strong forearms and wrists. A right-handed hitter, the setup is slightly open, feet are shoulder width apart. Hands start in a good hitting position just above his shoulders. Generates good bat speed and has a small controlled stride for timing. The path is level through the zone, with a one handed finish. Both rounds of BP were good, made solid contact in both. The tee exit velocity was 90 mph and ran a 7.19 60-yard dash. In the field, he showed good actions in both the outfield and infield. More of a middle guy at this point, may get pushed to the hot corner or to a corner outfield position. In the infield, he showed soft hands and a quick transfer. Arm was clocked at 77 mph across the diamond, some life and carry to it. Could keep his feet moving more after the throw, tends to step behind, losing ground towards the target. Made the backhand play look simple. In outfield, he needs to clean up transfer and footwork, steps behind, opposed to coming through the baseball. Arm was clocked at 80 mph, with carry. Definite follow, gaining interests from division one schools.
