Offensively: RHH. Wide base with bent knees; medium stride. Aggressive with quick hands to the ball, flat path throughout. Consistent contact up the middle and to the pull side; peak Trackman exit velocity of 88 MPH.
Defensively: Starts with a wide base in athletic position; Aggressive on approach with controlled footwork, plays through the ball. fields the ball on the outside of his glove foot; medium arm swing with a high 3/4 arm slot. OF - 74 MPH.
Montagnese stands in at 5-foot-6, 115-pounds with a lean frame. Ran a 7.90 – 60. Offensively- Righty sets up square to the pitcher and uses fluid trigger to get into the hitting position. Shows quick hands with a level barrel path throughout the hitting zone. Utilizes the whole body with good lower body rotation and demonstrated consistent contact up the middle and to the pull side. Recorded an exit velocity of 68 MPH. Defensively- Comes through the baseball well. Good throwing motion throughout the crow hop. Will get better with more strength development and reps.
