8.23.18
5-foot-9, 140-pound, smaller, wiry strength to him, has room for added weight and mass. A right-handed pitcher, showed a three pitch mix, all three pitches come out of the same slot, with good hand speed, to fastball and breaking pitch, tons of strikes. The delivery, is simple, easy leg raise, gets loaded up and is tall on the back side. The direction is inline, slight opening of front foot, glove side has minimal pull and gets squared up on release of the baseball. Works the fastball to both sides of the plate, arm side has some bore action to it. The fastball reached 77 mph, with more in there, cuts it off at the end, easy fix. The changeup is a plus pitch, clocked at 68-70 mph, proper shape and fade to it, comes out of the hand looking like a fastball. The breaking ball has tilt, thrown slower, needs more velocity added to it. Like the pitch ability and demeanor on the mound.
5-foot-9, 135-pound right-handed pitcher. The fastball touched 80 mph, minimal arm side run to the pitch. The spin pitch is 62-63 mph, big in shape, needs additional fastball hand speed to the pitch. The changeup is a good pitch for him, sits 68-70 mp, good fade and showed command of the pitch. The delivery is online with his feet, plus ¾ in slot. The frame is wiry thin, and needs additional weight added. The lift is athletic, small bounce at the top of the lift. The delivery has forward lean to it, and the glove has a hard pull down as he makes his way into foot strike. Showed well as the arm is clean and works.
3.6.18
5-foot-19, 135-pound, smaller, wiry strong athletic frame, neck is long, shoulders are sloped has room for future strength gains. A right-handed pitcher, who pounds the zone with three pitches, outing improved the longer he threw held his strength. The delivery is on time, hands start and stay high, has a slow controlled leg raise with a small pause at the peak. The direction with lead leg is inline with home plate, length is good, has a some tilt with heading towards glove side, could square up slightly more. The arm action is clean on the backside, average down to up swing, works out of a ¾ to higher slot, fastball was clocked at 73-76 mph with action in the bottom part of the zone. The secondary pitches are workable, breaking ball has 11/5 spin and tilt to it, clocked at 59-63 mph. The change up has more fade action, clocked at 61-65 mph, works well off the fastball. Times to the plate were quick at 1.18, showed same command working out of the set as the full motion. Continued strength will aid in velocity, a major strike thrower, can get outs for someone.
