7/12/16
6-foot-5, 185-pound, long and slender frame, with plenty of room to fill out. A right-handed pitcher, works out of a high ¾ slot, pitches downhill, pounds the zone with strikes. The tempo is fast and attacks hitters with multiple pitches. The delivery is repeatable, gets to a good gather with good leg raise, direction is in line, could be a bit softer on the front leg on release. The fastball was 78-81 mph, with more 81’s. The breaking ball is a legit pitch, throws it for strikes and uses it as a putaway pitch. Thrown consistently at 70-72 mph, has depth and good tilt to it. Changeup was 76 mph, with depth and small fade to the armside. Times to the plate are quick at 1.14. Offensively, hits from the right-side, the setup is quiet and balanced and has very little movement. The swing is flat and short through the zone. The tee exit velocity was 81 and ran a 4.85 from home to first. Defensively, arm was clocked at 79 mph from the outfield, footwork in transfer was good, could long out the stride just a bit. Throws were on target and gave the fielders something to handle. Projects for me as a pitcher, velocity should jump at some point.

10/18/15

As a positional player, he shows an outstanding feel for playing the outfield. Gets off the ball very well and tracks the ball with ease. Made a great catch down the left-field line during the game on Sunday. At the plate, He hits from a wide stance, with a long swing. The swing needs to be shortened and flattened. On the mound, projects as he is long and lean. The arm works and he has leverage to his pitching. The fastball is in the low 80’s currently, but there is more in there as he matures and the body matures. The breaking ball is 11/7 and its a plus pitch, up to 72. The spin pitch has depth and tilt to it. It’s one of the better ones in the state of Connecticut. The changeup is a work in progress. The delivery is repeated and on time.  Look for him to grow into something special as he has an out pitch already.

8/16/15
Big time projection on the mound for this young man High simple waist high leg lift and a long arm action on the back side. The frame is great at 6-foot-4, 175-pounds, with plenty of room to fill out. The fastball had life and action to it at 82.The breaking pitch is plus, action and tilt, sitting at 73. I didn't see much of a changeup but the path works for him to add that pitch. High level guy on the mound. 1.36 to the plate out of the stretch as well. As an outfielder, he threw 83 from right field with strength and carry to the ball. Made a couple nice plays out there during the game as he showed feel for getting off the ball. The swing is long as he is very lanky, he hits from a straight up and down stance and the bat path needs flattening. Tee exit velocity of 79.
