Thomas Baer: OF/RHP, (2025) out of Joel Barlow, CT. is a 5-foot-6, 130-pound two-way prospect. In the box, Baer recorded an exit velocity of 82 MPH, with a (62.85 MPH bat speed average) and (18.53 MPH hand speed average). He begins in a wide, balanced stance with the hands set just off the back shoulder. A slow load stacks the weight over the back leg before the bat takes a flat path to and through the hitting zone. In the outfield, his best throws to the infield topped out at 75 MPH. As he worked through the defensive portion, he showed he has smooth feet, sure hands, and a clean exchange. He also recorded a 60 time of 7.19. On the mound, Baer used a simple delivery. Small movements got him into a balanced position at the top. He separates well and creates a good line to home plate.  The arm works out of a long, high ¾ arm slot that produces a fastball that comes in at 70-74 MPH (Max spin 1906; Avg 1771) with arm side run.. He also featured a sweeping slider (62-64 MPH )(Max spin 1857; Avg 1714).


5-foot-6, 130-pound solid athletic frame, with room for added weight gains. Athletic during batting practice, Baer recorded an exit velocity of 83 mph. Begins in a wide stance with a compact load, then uses a leg kick. Bat speed was above average, displayed a flat swing plane and high finish. Had a lot of loud contact and found multiple barrels. Gap to gap approach. Athletic in the outfield, his best throw of the day was clocked at 70 mph; has quick feet, soft hands, and a fluid exchange. Fields the ball one hand, movements laterally were average. Showed a short arm action and a high ¾ slot with consistent accuracy to the base. Fluid on the mound, showing good arm speed he used a high ¾ arm angle with a loose arm action. Tall-and-fall type pitcher who uses easy effort. Tall balance point with even shoulders. Lands closed with an athletic finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 66-68 mph; showed control low in the zone and sinking action. His changeup 58-60 mph;had fading action and arm side control. Throws a 1/7 slider 59-60 mph; that has command low in the zone and slurvey action.
