Tommy Schopps: LHP, (2024) Fairfield Warde, CT. 5-foot-10, 185-pound. Solid on the mound, showed consistent arm speed with a loose clean arm action and a high ¾ arm angle. Feel type pitcher who shows easy effort. Showed athletic balance point with downhill shoulders. Changeup (70-71 mph). Sat with his fastball at 73-75 mph. Had slight running action. (Max spin 1870; Avg 1768). Shows a 1/7 curveball (64-66) with gradual action. (Max spin 1675; Avg 1618).

A projectable 5-foot-10, 175-pound two-way prospect. At the plate, the right-handed hitter recorded an exit velocity of 84 mph with a (64.6 mph bat speed average) and (19.8 mph hand speed average). He begins in a balanced, athletic stance with a controlled load. He then used a short stride to start a simple, flat swing with good extension. Schopps found multiple barrels throughout his round and showed a gap to gap approach. In the 60-yard dash, his time was 7.97. On the mound, Schopps uses a high ¾ arm slot to produce a fastball that sits 69-73 mph (Max spin 1776; Avg 1663) with some arm side run. His delivery is simple, balanced and in line with home plate. He gets to a consistent balance point and lands square with a clean finish. Schopps also mixed in a 12/6 curveball (60-62 mph)(Max spin 1549; Avg 1465) and a changeup (66-67 mph) with late fading action.

(17.87 mph hand speed average). Starts in a tall athletic stance with a smooth high load, then uses a long stride. Has quick bat speed, short flat swing plane and high finish. Found some barrels with loud contact. Line drive approach. Projectable while in the infield, recorded position velocities up to 63 mph; shows smooth fluid feet, soft hands, and a clean natural exchange. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Consistent accuracy to the bases, used a high ¾ slot with a short arm action. Recorded a time of 8.12 in the 60-yard dash. Projectable on the mound, showed a high ¾ arm angle and a short arm action with good arm speed. Tall-and-fall type pitcher and uses easy effort. Tall balance point with downhill shoulders. Lands square with an athletic finish. Threw his fastball 63-67 mph; had tailing action and arm side command. (Max spin 1816; Avg 1559). His curveball (58-61) showed consistent command and early action. Shows fading action and command low in the zone on his changeup (61-62).
