Tyler Blumetti: RHP/OF, (2023) Southington, CT. 6-foot-1, 167-pound lean athletic build. Capable and projectable during batting practice, Blumetti recorded an exit velocity of 90 mph. (66.5 mph bat speed average). (20.2 mph hand speed average). Begins in an open balanced stance with a small load, then uses a closed small stride. Bat speed is developing, exhibits a long flat swing plane and good extension on his finish. Found multiple barrels with loud contact. Pull side approach. Projectable and athletic in the outfield, he showed the ability to make throws to the bases at 80 mph; has a developing clean exchange, developing feet, and developing hands. Fielded the ball out front with developing movement laterally. Consistent accuracy to the bases, used a loose quick arm action and a high ¾ slot. In the 60-yard dash, he clocked a time of 7.37. Capable and projectable on the mound, showed a loose arm action and a high ¾ arm angle with developing quick arm speed Up-tempo type pitcher and uses some effort. In his delivery his balance point is tall with falling off shoulders. Lands closed with a falling off finish. Sat with his fastball at 78-80 mph; showed control arm side in the zone and running action. Shows glove side around the zone command and sweeping action on his curveball (67-69).
