3/19/21
5-foot-10, 190-pound, very strong, put together well. The hands and wrists are thick, with natural strength to them. Put together another solid workout, showing major pop and juice at the plate. Since previous event, opened the stance, gaining ground with stride foot. The hands are loaded, higher with bat tilt. The back half is really strong, stays on the backside, is balanced on contact. The swing is short to the baseball, a level path, with lift and length at the backend. Shows plus power to the pull side, exit velocity of 98 mph. Looks to be very confident. Showed better legs, ran a 7.43 sixty-yard dash. Big follow.
Exit Velocity: 98 mph
Sixty-Yard Dash: 7.43
10/14/20
5-foot-10, 190-pound, strong, solid, durable athletic frame, very good strength in hands and wrists. A right-handed hitting catcher, at the plate, has a spread out stance, strong loaded hands at the shoulders. Lower half is very quiet, no stride, backside drive, sits and hits. The swing is short to contact, hands inside the baseball, swing is level to up. The approach is middle of the field, can go opposite without much effort, understands what he is doing at the plate. The exit velocity was clocked at 90 mph and ran a 7.97 sixty-yard dash. Defensively, very quick transfer from behind the plate, right foot replaces left, frontside closes down. The arm action is short working out of a higher slot. All throws were on or close, arm clocked at 73 mph, more in there as he physically matures. Pop time was at 2.0-2.10, good rhythm and timing to it. Showed well catching bullpens, sits low, pitchers looked comfortable. Good looking catcher, skill set advanced.
