At catcher, he was clocked throwing 70 mph out of the chute with pop times between 2.00 and 2.12. Has shown continued improvement in the last year to refine his receiving abilities and pop time. Good work ethic. At the plate, Feinstein has plenty of raw power that was on display during batting practice. Barrelled a number of balls to the deep gaps. Posted an 85 mph exit velocity off the tee. The swing is short and controlled with some loft in the bat path. Slight step into the ball with good hip rotation. Middle-pull oriented approach with a willingness to go the other way when necessary. The hands work high from the shoulders, staying in. Accelerates through the point of contact. Drove balls during gameplay including one off the wall. Will need to continue learning to make adjustments at the plate and refining his approach.

Worked out at first base as well, he is athletic enough to stay there, the feet are good and he can handle the bag. Threw 75 mph across the diamond. Tee exit velocity of 89 mph as the hands are strong with the bat. Hits out of a wide stance, relaxed hands and bent knees. The path to the ball is clean, the bat works long and strong to the ball. Slight lift in the swing, but he gets the barrel there. Ran a 4.5 down the line on his dig to first base. Solid prospect as a catcher and a hitter.

5-foot-10, 200 pounds, Feinstein is already filling out physically and looks the part of a catcher. Frame provides a good target for his pitchers and showed some promising receiving skills behind the plate. Defensively, Feinstein needs to improve the transfer and release behind the plate. Posted pop times between 2.00-2.22. The arm shows strength at 73 mph from chute. At first base, Feinstein showed good feel for the position and the soft hands played up. Feinstein’s compact lefty stroke is constructed to make contact. Level to up swing and the hands get the bat to the ball regularly, times pitcher with a toe tap. There is definitely power in the bat going to the wayside based on approach. The exit velocity was clocked at 88 mph. Tapping into this power potential would help improve his offensive profile.

5-foot-10, 185-pound, thick, strong athletic frame. The back and shoulders are wide and hands have strength to them. A left-handed hitting catcher, his best tool is his bat, squares balls up consistently one after another. The stance is even, feet slightly wider than shoulder width, with his hands being loose at shoulder height. The lower half is under control, has a very small leg kick and gains ground with stride, uses entire body to hit. The swing is level to up, has serious whip and bat speed out front. The barrel stays in the zone a long time, and stays through it. The tee exit velocity was 89 mph and ran a 7.28. Second round of BP was very impressive. Defensively, has a simple approach balanced setup. The feet are wide and sits on the flats of his feet. The transfer, right foot replaces left foot, could get closed up slightly more, glove needs to stay up and right across his face to throwing hand for the transfer. The arm action is short and clean, was clocked at 72 mph and the pop times were 2.10-2.16. Worked well with the pitcher's, hands work and are strong when receiving. Also can play first base, solid follow, good left-handed hitting catchers are hard to find.

The stance is even, just so slightly wider than shoulder width. The hands are held just above the shoulder, bat is in good starting position. The lower half supplies some juice to the swing, back knee triggers and he gains ground with his stride. The swing is level to up, the barrel stays in the zone a long time and he drives it with authority to both gaps, with more power to pull gap. The tee exit velocity was 87 mph, and ran a 4.88 from home to first. In game swings were really good, collected multiple extra base hits. Defensively, worked out at first and catcher. Behind the plate the setup is relaxed and even, right foot replaces left foot during transfer, with getting glove to throwing hand. The arm action is short and clean, clocked at 69 mph and pop times were at 2.06-2.13. At first, shows soft hand and works from the ground up, feet work well around the bag and are clean in starting the double play. The arm was clocked at 70 mph. Good looking left-handed hitter who is going to hit, barrel finds the ball, projects more as first baseman, with ability to help behind the plate, extremely valuable. Get out and see him this spring, high school team will be very competitive.
