10/31/16- Committed to Santa Fe College.
10/16/16- Uncommitted, 6-foot-3, 185 pounds with a tall, lean, projectable build. Balanced at the plate with good leverage on his swing. Displayed the ability to drive the ball deep into the gaps with a hard line drive single to right field and a grand slam over the left/center field wall that was crushed during the game. Throws were on line and accurate with carry from the outfield. There is a lot of bat speed and room to continue to become stronger in the frame. Plenty of athleticism and arm to play a corner outfield position, with the bat projecting to be able to be a consistent gap-to-gap hitter with pull side power. Very interesting and will not be uncommitted much longer as he is one of the best bats still available.
6/27/15 - Uncommitted incoming junior. 6-foot-2 175 pound with a lean, athletic, and projectable frame. Long, loose, and over the top arm action. Above average ML arm from the outfield. Has rhythm at the plate and gets a good separation for his load. Great leverage in his swing and uses his lower half well. Stays inside the ball and has a nice swing plane. The ball really jumps off his bat. 7.1 runner.
8/14/19: Struggled some to find a groove this summer, slashing just .208/.299/.351 over his 87 plate appearances for Y-D. Eyster shows solid strength and good leverage in his swing, but can struggle to cover the zone effectively and there is enough swing-and-miss to his game for evaluators to question whether he’ll make enough contact at the next level for the game power to play.
