11/7/15- Cruz has a strong, stalky and mature body at 5-foot-7, 170 pounds. He showed smooth and athletic all over the field. He ran a 7.08, threw 82 mph across the diamond and 75 mph from behind the plate. In the infield he showed soft hands with good footwork. Behind the plate he has quick feet, a quick transfer a short, over the top arm action with plenty of arm strength. Offensively, he has a good base, uses his lower half well and has a nice swing plane. He showed gap power with ability to consistently square up the ball.
