11/10/18

6-foot-3, 185-pound, right-handed pitcher, strong, durable build. On the mound, short, clean arm action, does good job hiding ball on back-side, ¾ slot. Tall and fall delivery, some rhythm, works on-line, lands toe-closed pivoting to square, finishes upright and square. Fastball worked 80-83 with heavy armside run, struggled with command but action has swing and miss potential. Cutter, 78 mph, short, tight sweep. Slider, sweeping action, 71-73. Changeup played at 67.

1/21/17

The 6-foot-2, 180-pound RHP/1B has a lean, wiry projectable frame. On the mound, he throws from a ¾ slot and with very little effort the fastball ranged from 80-82 mph . He does not get down the mound or use the lower half well, but when he does the velocity will make a jump. Also showed a curveball at 69 mph with quality shape. Offensively, the right handed hitter has a simple, wide setup. Tends to cut himself off, but uses lower half well and shows some bat speed and strength with an exit velocity of 81 mph. Overall, Shall shows a lot of tools and potential. Especially on the mound, he could make some big jumps with added experience and strength.
