8/10/16- Future Games report: Seemed to deliver whenever there were runners on base as he had multiple RBI hits during the showcase games. Looking much more comfortable in the box during the games, he showed rhythm and timing handling both velocity and quality secondary pitching. Standing at 5-foot-10, 180 pounds he is strong and physical while also being a solid receiver behind the plate. Blocks the ball well and displays good baseball IQ. As he continues to grow and become more flexible and gain some arm strength he will be very interesting on both sides of the plate going forward.

5/13/16- Currently ranked No. 34 in the Florida 2019 class. 5-foot-10, 180-pounder with a physical, athletic frame and a strong lower half. Slightly open with a wide stance at the plate. Short, quick swing with good hip rotation. Quick bat and has the ability to square the ball up. Strong forearms and good hand strength. Hustles down the line. Behind the plate Hines moves well and shows the ability to deaden pitches in the dirt and keep the ball in front of him. Displays soft hands and receives the ball well with good framing instincts. Relaxed, smart player.

4/22/16- 5-foot-10, 180-pounds freshman who has an athletic, strong, and physical frame for his age. At the plate he has an open stance, good rhythm, and gets a separation for his load. He has a good base in his stance and has a short, simple stride. Short, quick swing that is flat through the zone and allows him to consistently find the barrel. Behind the plate he is a soft receiver and his strong wrists allow him to stick pitches well. He bounces around and blocks well for his age. Quick transfer and release with a short, over the top arm action. Fringy arm strength that is average for his age.

2/17/16- 5-foot-10, 180-pounder with a strong, solid, projectable frame. Strong forearms. Had good command and control of the game behind the plate, caught Bosnic well. Some leadership qualities exist. Blocked the ball and moved well. Athletic. Showed some quick hands and the ability to square the ball up at the plate.

9/29/29: Hines is an uber athletic catcher and right handed hitter. Behind the plate, the hands are soft as he receives the ball well and works together with the feet showing a quick, but controlled transfer with a strong and accurate arm. No different at the plate as Hines brings a high level of confidence to his game. He’s very quick twitch and can catch up to most fastballs but he also has the discipline to sit back and see pitches out of the hand for good plate discipline. He’s stays behind the baseball and takes what’s given to him showing a mature approach with line drive contact.
