11/1/18- Committed to Central Florida
10/17/16- Committed to Florida International University.
5/21/16- Uncommitted junior who stands at 6-foot, 185 pounds with a strong, stalky, physical, and athletic body. He is ranked 91st in Florida and is one of the top uncommitted players in the class. Upright and open stance at the plate and his hands come down with his load but he does not get much separation. Strong hands and wrists with very good bat speed. He has a leg kick and uses his lower half well. Short, quick swing that is flat through the zone and the ball jumps off his bat. Strong arm from both the infield and outfield and he gets great backspin and carry on his throws. He had the top outfield velocity at 90 mph. In the infield he has soft hands and light feet but he has a longer arm action and slightly stands up to throw. He has the hands and arm strength to play 3B. He made hard contact at the plate in all three at-bats in the game and really drove the ball with authority.
11/2/18: UCF recruit, the catcher got banged up some in the game, but has a much more physical body and has a lot of present athleticism. Still developing as a catcher, but shows above average athleticism in the setup and flexibility. The hands are soft when he gets to the right positions on time. Offensively, there is a lot of upside as there is above average bat speed and added strength.
7-21-2018: Sophomore catcher Josh Crouch (State JC of Florida Manatee-Sarasota) had a nice showing with the bat, going 3-for-7 with a line-drive double to left field. I liked his setup and feel for the barrel, and he has shown some extra-base pop this summer for Sanford, hitting .333 with three homers and four doubles in 54 at-bats. His arm behind the plate is fringy to average but showed good accuracy, and he has some ability to receive and block, though I would need more looks to get a better feel for his defense. (Aaron Fitt)
