Defense: 1.9-2.01 pop times. Athletic base setup in crouch, stays square, quick release falling in line with target
Arm: RH. C - 73 mph. Over top arm slot, short arm action.
Hit: RHH. Wide, athletic setup, short stride, strong/quiet hands, barrel tilt creating natural whip. Short/compact swing, twitchy actions on contact making hard contact out front, extension through swing, above average bat speed.
Power: 95 mph exit velocity. Line drive, pull side gap approach.
Run: 7.81 runner in the 60.
Athletic frame at 5-foot-8, 172 pounds with room for growth. Loose arm action with average carry and some accuracy on throws to 2nd base, pop times 2.07-2.10. Average hands and slow footwork and average lateral movements behind the plate. Balanced setup at the plate with smooth load and long stride while using lower half well. Line drive swing with level bat path with some rhythm and average bat speed with 85 exit velocity.
1/17/19 - 5-foot-8, 172 pounds, defensively he showed pop times in the 2.17-2.43 range. Hands work well receiving and moved well blocking, will continue to improve defensively with reps and added strength and mobility. Offensively, has a a leg kick load that gets him some rhythm There is natural whip in the swing and generates some bat speed with the present strength. Offensive upside as he continues to develop, topped out at 80 mph exit velocity.
08/22/18- Stocky, 5-foot-8, 172 pound catcher. Has present ability that plays up in game play. Defensively, pop times ranged from 2.14-2.2 and is solid receiver and blocker. Offensively, he worked with a small leg kick trigger and has an overall simple swing. Showed the ability to stay on the barrel and had line drives from gap to gap in BP.
