5/24/15 - Tall lean body that looked stronger and starting to fill out. Has good hitters hands with a good path and solid approach. Showed some raw power in BP but has doubles power in both gaps in the game. Stays inside ball well and makes a lot of hard contact to all fields. Very aggressive hitter. Attacks ball. Occasionally gets too aggressive which isn’t a bad thing for this age. He squares a lot of balls up and has been for a long time. Tremendous hand eye. His bat is good enough to overlook some defensive flaws. Should be a good draft.

2/10/15 - Central Florida commit. 6-foot-3, 185 pound infielder with a tall loose lean athletic projectable body. Loose athletic actions in the infield with avg type range. Hands and feet work well, arm does not. Lacks arm strength. Labors to throw. Is playing SS but will have to change positions. Athletic, runs solid avg underway. Very offensive guy with a plus ML bat. Swing has quickness with good leverage and a good path. Can drive ball a long way when he gets his long arms extended. Bat stays in the zone. Stays inside ball well and can drive ball to both gaps. Above avg ML power. Very good hand eye. Very aggressive, confident hitter. Could be a good 2015 draft. Tonight 1-2 with a triple.
Loose lean projectable body. Has loose quick bat with a good path. Swing has length with leverage and very good hand eye. Good hitting instincts. Has Above avg ML raw power with a lot more to come. Shows power when he gets extended. Very aggressive approach. Attacks ball. Bat is best tool and it plays. Adequate actions in infield with a fringy arm. Ran a 6.75, 60. Will eventually be a corner bat. Has performed well on big stages It will be interesting to see how the 2015 draft treats him.
6/26/14 - Mountcastle’s Tournament of Stars performance doesn’t stand out on the stat sheet—he went 3-for-13—but he made loud contact in most of his at-bats, collecting a double and two triples, while also lining out hard twice in the gold medal game. He has a tall, skinny frame at 6-foot-3, 185 pounds, with long arms that can create length in his swing at times, but his barrel stays in the zone a long time and he has good bat speed. He’s a corner infielder that still needs work on defense, but he seemed to be holding back on his throws.
