10/15/17- Uncommitted. Fastball sat 88-89 mph and a curveball at 81 mph. Athletic right-hander has some projection. The arm action is long and works over the top. With the length and over the top arm action, his arm doesn’t work as freely as you would like. There is a lot to like wih the athleticism and arm though.
07/08/16-Uncommitted. A lanky and projectable 6-foot-3 165 pounds Wimbush showed and over the top arm action which was a little shouldered, but still produced a fastball ranging from 88-90 mph with late life. To go along with the fastball he showed a slider that ranged from 74-75 mph with some late action. Although he is currently has a shouldered arm action, the arm works very quick and projects to throw much harder as he logs innings and continues to fill out.
9/23/18 - 6-foot-2, 185-pound right-handed pitcher, strong frame, physical build. Works straight over-the-top, creates good tilt, most effective when pitching low in the zone. Fastball sat 85-87, played harder. Buried a breaking ball at 81 mph.
