10/16/16- Florida recruit. The 6-foot, 190 pound is a stocky strong a prototypical catcher frame. All he did over the course of the two games is hit. He had 5 hits in the two games, the most by any player at the event. With a short, level and quick swing he has a strong lower half and a feel for the barrel. With both of his doubles going to right field and spraying his other singles around, he showed an advanced approach that will play at the next level. There is strength and power that will continue to show as he learns how to use it in game. Defensively, he is an above average defensive catcher. Strong hands and a solid setup gives him the ability to receive the ball well. He also has a quick transfer with a slightly above average arm with his pop times ranging from 1.95-2.05 with a 2.02 in game time on a caught stealing. There is strength, athleticism and a feel for hitting, which at the catching position makes him very interesting going into the spring for the draft.
