10/16/16- Florida recruit. The 6-foot, 190 pound is a stocky strong a prototypical catcher frame. All he did over the course of the two games is hit. He had 5 hits in the two games, the most by any player at the event. With a short, level and quick swing he has a strong lower half and a feel for the barrel. With both of his doubles going to right field and spraying his other singles around, he showed an advanced approach that will play at the next level. There is strength and power that will continue to show as he learns how to use it in game. Defensively, he is an above average defensive catcher. Strong hands and a solid setup gives him the ability to receive the ball well. He also has a quick transfer with a slightly above average arm with his pop times ranging from 1.95-2.05 with a 2.02 in game time on a caught stealing. There is strength, athleticism and a feel for hitting, which at the catching position makes him very interesting going into the spring for the draft.
5/21/16- Florida commit who stands at 6-foot, 190 pounds with a strong and athletic frame with strong legs. He is ranked 36th in Florida and 105th overall. He runs well for a catcher (7.04) and he has an advanced approach at the plate. He is relaxed, has an open stance, and gets a separation for his load. He has an easy swing with a nice path through the zone and he uses his lower half well. He has pull-side home run power and he hit a 96 mph line drive up the middle in the game. He has a short, loose, over the top arm action and a strong throwing arm. He threw a 1.97-2.05 down to second and showed advanced footwork and a quick transfer.
8/22/15- 2017 C/3B 5’11”/180 Sam has a strong upper body and is still a bit raw w/ the bat but it’s coming along.  Showed some gap to gap hitting potential in BP.
6/14/15- 5-foot-11 175 pounds lean and athletic body with strength. 1.85-1.9 pop time. Average ML arm down to second and a quick transfer. Good rhythm at the plate and gets a nice separation. Small leg kick and uses his lower half well. Nice swing plane and good bat speed.
