9/17/16- The stocky 5-foot-7, 170 pound RHP/3B has a simple setup with minimal movement pre-swing. The path is a little steep, but stays short and direct to the ball. The hands work well and as he logs more at-bats and continues to get stronger, he should grow into some gap-to-gap power. On the mound, with a simple delivery and short arm action he showed a fastball that ranged from 75-76 mph. There is some effort and he doesn’t yet get fully extended, but as he grows and learns how to get some extension the velocity should jump. The breaking ball has the shape to be a good breaking ball and ranged from 62-65 mph. Defensively he showed a some choppy footwork and hands worked well as he broke down and fielded the ball in from showing an average arm topping out at 73 mph.
