07/26/17- Stands at 6-foot, 215 pounds with a strong, solid build ideal for a catcher’s frame. During batting practice he showed the ability to drive the ball to the pull-side with some pop. Strong wrists and hands through the zone. With more use of his lower half he will continue to generate more power. Registered an exit velocity of 84 mph in the cage during offensive evaluations. Behind the plate his throws to the bag topped out at 77 mph with pop times in the 2.15.-2.25 range. As he becomes quicker with his transfer, the pop time will continue to improve. 

01/08/17- The stocky 6-foot, 205 pound C/1B has an aggressive swing that generates some bat speed. He tends to cut himself off and not get full extension, but still generated an exit velocity of 84 mph. He has a strong lower half, but could benefit from a wider stride to help clear his hips. Displayed accurate throws to the bag with some carry.
