4/23/15 - Vanderbilt signee. 6-foot-5, 165 pound right hander. Fast ball was 88-93 mph mostly sitting at 90-91mph.Fast ball had good down tilt with life on both sides of the plate and deception in his delivery. Commanded his fast ball well and kept his velocity the entire game. Touched 93 mph in the 6th inning. Competed very well. The curve ball was a downer with depth, an above avg ML pitch. The change up had the same life as the fast ball and threw it for strikes with very good arm speed. Secondary stuff was very good and consistent tonight. Also tied the game at 1 with a line drive single. The body and arm action are very projectable. Is positioning himself to be a high 2015 draft. If this kid shows up at college, he could be a top 5 pick.
3/31/15 - The Vandy signee threw a complete game and gave up two soft runs in the first inning. A leadoff walk, misplayed double-ball that should have been ruled an error, and two botched rundowns. He eventually settled down and became a strikeout machine after that. Fastball was 86-91 mph. His change up had good life and he threw it consistently for strikes. He flashed an above avg curve ball, but mostly ML avg. Final line was - 6 IP, 3 H, 3 ER, 2 BB, 14 K
3/13/15 - Vandy commit. 6-foot-5, 160 pound right hander who continues to dominate throughout the Spring. Tonight threw 7 IP, 4 H, 0 BB, 12 K vs Dwyer HS. Fast ball was mostly 89-91 mph, but topped out at 94 mph. Curve ball was mostly below average but flashed a plus change up. Pounded the strike zone in and out with late life. Is positioning himself nicely for the 2015 draft.
2/10/15 - Young, lean body and smooth, clean mechanics with very good rm action for outstanding projection. Tonight had an effortless FB up to 94 mph.  The ball jumps out of his hand and gets on the hitter very quickly.  Has very good angle. FB lives at the bottom of the zone.  There's deception and a lot of life at the plate.  The CV was tight with depth, and the CH had solid action.  He's very loose and very fast, so there's some inconsistency to the release point, but this pitcher is super athletic, flexible, and coordinated.  At minimum, the stuff will be plus, and the cleanliness and projection will allow for potentially plus command. He rose to the occasion last night and put himself in contention for consideration at the top of the draft.
1/30/15 - Threw three innings in a preseason scrimmage and looked as though he was ready. He is a 6-foot-5, 160 pound right hander with a tall loose lean, very projectable body. Similar to former Red Sox hurler, Dennis “Oil Can” Boyd. He has a very loose, very easy working arm with a high ¾ slot. His fastball had good down tilt at 88-92 mph with some run and occasional sink. The curve ball had ¾ tilt with depth at 75-77 mph. A solid avg ML pitch. The change up had the same action as the fast ball with good arm speed. Avg ML pitch that will improve with reps. Good feel for pitching. Threw all three pitches for strikes. Very high ceiling kid whose stuff will even get better with physical maturity. Has a chance to have three plus pitches. Could be a high 2015 draft.

Tall skinny loose athletic projectable body. Very high ceiling kid with easy working arm. Loose H3/4 slot with good tilt to FB and some deception. 88-92 with much more velo to come. SL - 80-82, CV was a little loopy with occasional depth and good rotation, 75-76, Good feel for CHG with good arm speed, 77-81, was his best secondary pitch. Will be a good 2015 draft.
