Bird is an eighth grader who looks to be a promising two-way player as he ages. He is a lean and athletic outfielder. He moves well in the outfield and plays through the ball with average but accurate throws. Offensively, he starts tall with a small leg kick. He has an easy, uphill swing with average bat speed that produces line drive contact. As a LHP, Bird works quickly and comes from the high ¾ arm slot. His fastball sits 69-71 mph. He also mixed in a 61 mph curveball.

Balanced setup at the plate with leg kick to create rhythm with level bat path. As a LHP throws from the ¾ arm slot  and stays in line with motion to home.
