10/11/18- Uncommitted. Currently stands at 6-foot, 155 pounds with a projectable, athletic frame. Room to fill out. Showed his present athleticism early in the day when he tied for the fastest 60 yard dash time of the event at 6.63 seconds. Above average runner on the base paths as well, looks for the extra base and gets good jumps by reading the pitcher. Defensively, he shows quick feet and looks to stay aggressive to the ball, charging towards the slow rollers with a quick release and online throws to the bag that topped out at 87 mph which was the second highest outfield velocity of the event. Offensively, he starts from an open stance from the right side and shows above average bat speed and some feel for the barrel, consistently driving the ball into the gaps during batting practice. Quick hands. With the room he has to fill out, look for a jump in gap-to-gap power which paired with his speed should result in multiple extra base hits. Registered an 86 mph exit velocity in the cage. Noriega already shows some above average tools and with the present athleticism and projectability, he will be a good follow heading into the spring.
