5/14/18 - Sporting strength in his 5-foot-8, 165-pound frame, Del Castillo continues to display a quality all-around skill set. Solid defensive actions at second base, fundamentally sound and made all the routine plays. At the dish, the right-handed hitter starts from an open stance and strides to a square base. Minimal wasted motion leads to a repeatable swing during which he displays excellent balance and a feel for the barrel. Saw off-speed pitches well and let them travel into the hitting zone.

4/20/18 - Del Castillo showed extremely well in the electric atmosphere, going 2-4 at the plate, adding in a clean defensive performance. The 5’8”, scrappy, middle infielder plays with great energy and savvy, seeming to always know where he needs to be, grinding out at-bats and playing quick and low to the dirt while on defense.
