4/4/18 -�5’10/195, L/R, Junior- Converted second baseman now playing center field. One of my favorite prospects while scouting the Northwoods League last summer. He’s a speedy contact hitter with a line drive swing. Ran a 4.00 from the left side to first base on a 4-3 groundout. Tracked fly balls well, especially coming in. Tended to slow down and set his feet while fielding ground balls, as an infielder would, instead of fielding the ball off to the side and playing through the ball with momentum into a crow hop. Showed a fringy arm, but more than enough to play center field. He has top five round talent, but so far has not shown the production to match. His signability will determine where he is selected in the draft as Vanderbilt juniors don’t typically sign for five-figure bonuses.
