Uncommitted. Patch has been a consistent performer over the years and is an A + competitor on the field. Toeing the rubber against a potent opposing lineup it was evident from the jump that Patch was up for the task. Striking out 5 across 3.0 IP of no-run ball in a win. Athletic and broad-shouldered at 6-foot-3, 195-pounds, Patch shows repeatability in the delivery with present arm speed and obvious pitchability. The ability to mix and hit spots really stood out as he had full command of the 4-pitch mix. Fastball sat 82-84 (T85 MPH) and generated swing-and-miss when elevated. Advanced feel of the curveball at 67-69 with huge 12/6 depth that plays extremely well off the fastball. Slider showed a tighter break at 76-78 and kept hitters off the FB/CB mix. Changeup is a potential future advanced offering at 70-72 as it was thrown R/R at will with arm-side fade. There’s much more in the tank for Patch and the velo has been on a steady climb over the past calendar year.

Uncommitted. Patch has been having a big summer on the mound and at the plate as well. The smooth swinging LHH delivered at the plate on Friday night. Collecting two hits back up the middle. Highlighting a well-connected swing with a mature middle-of-the-field approach at the plate with good leverage through the zone. The barrel control stands out with the ability to match plane at a high-level. A consistent performer that has gotten it done on both sides of the ball and will be another name to watch at Model in the Spring.
